there's a version of you that never left.

she's still in the car singing along to the same songs at full volume. still feels things a little too deeply. still stops to look at dead flowers and thinks they're the most beautiful thing she's seen all week.

she finds poetry in the uncomfortable places. romance in impermanence. art in grief. she always has — and she never understood why the world wanted her to stop.

she used to think the story would end differently. more like a fairy tale — cleaner, brighter, wrapped up neatly at the end. nut real life came, the way it always does. and somewhere in the aftermath of that she found something unexpected.
